At Groundhog Gardens, we’re lucky to have access to a very large irrigation pond that fills up every spring when the snow melts. Plus, the Chevalier Brook runs right across the property we grow on. We’ve got plenty of water.

But the farm is located in the Yamaska River Watershed, and the Yamaska River needs our help: it is sadly one of the most polluted tributaries of the St. Lawrence.

We further encourage all our clients to learn about the health of the waterways near their home, and to take action to defend the water. We all depend on clean water for our survival. We must rebuild reciprocal relationships with our friends the lakes, rivers and streams.
