Live the season to the fullest with a Garden Card!

After a successful launch in 2023, the Garden Card is back for the 2024 growing season!

The Garden Card is our innovative pre-paid card subscription program. With a Garden Card, you enjoy all the advantages of a traditional CSA share (or a panier de légumes subscription as we say in Québec): the pleasure of living and eating with the seasons, enjoying the freshest produce possible, and discovering new vegetables or new varieties of your old favorites.

But the Garden Card also offers you a new level of flexibility: it’s a pre-paid card that you get to use when you want, to buy what you want, in whatever amount you want.

The Garden Card is valid at both of our salespoints: at our farmstand on the farm itself in Bromont and at the Buvanderie in the Mile End, Montreal.

There's no need to schedule your vacations on a delivery calendar or to let us know in advance when you will or will not show up. Just come whenever you feel the need for our fresh seasonal produce— which will probably be pretty often once you’ve tasted it ;)

Plus, to thank you for supporting the farm, we add

a 5% bonus to every Garden Card subscription

{ Produce available }

In 2024, we will be growing over 30 different vegetables and culinary herbs!

All our produce is available on a seasonal basis.

That means some vegetables are available from the very first farmstand of the year to the very last (such as radishes), while other are available in the summer and early fall (the much-loved tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, eggplants, and peppers) and others still are available only in the cool seasons of spring or fall (such as arugula, bok choi, and a few others).

During the height of the season (mid-July through September), at least 20 different vegetables and herbs will be available every week.

You can see the list of everything we will be growing this year here!

{ Recharging Garden Cards }

Not sure how much money to put on your card? Worried about running out of card money before the end of the season?

Don’t worry: Garden Cards are rechargeable! You can add more value to your card whenever you run out— or even before you run out, so you’re not caught short of cash at a farmstand.

Plus, we give you that 5% bonus whenever you recharge your card, too!

Are you concerned, on the contrary, that there will still be money left on the card at the end of the season?

Also not an issue: any unspent Garden Card funds automatically roll over to the following season!

{ The fine print }

  • To avoid the loss of cards and to be able to offer you better service, the Garden Card is in fact a digital prepaid card made possible by the Square sales platform. The Square digital card program lets us offer you many perks, like automatic receipts for all purchases made on the Garden Card and the ability to look up your card balance online at any time.

  • To use your Garden Card, all you have to do is show up at the farmstand. We save all the digital Garden Cards onto our farmstand tablet, so that we can quickly and easily charge your produce choices to your card. After 2 or 3 weeks, we’ll already be greeting you by name and getting your card pulled up as soon as we see you ;)

  • Garden Cards are valid only at the Groundhog Gardens salespoints mentioned above. We may from time to time add salespoints at which Garden Cards will be accepted (for instance, a farmers’ market).

  • As mentioned above, any unused card balance at the end of the season automatically rolls over to the following season. Please note however that unused card balances cannot be exchanged for cash or refunded. It is your responsibility to spend the full amount on your card at our farmstands.

  • You may transfer your card to a third party if you no longer wish or are able to use it. Simply advise us of any card transfer in advance and in writing.
